SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION
NJYS Summer Camp is for students
currently in grades 4–8
|
| DATES: Sunday, June 29 - Saturday, July 5, 2008 |
|
|
| TUITION: $500 |
|
|
| CURRENT NJYS MEMBERS: |
| |
- Applications will be accepted March 1 through April 2, along with $125 tuition deposit
- $55 late fee will be charged if application is not received at NJYS by April 2

- Applications will be accepted March 1 through April 12, along with non-refundable audition fee of $55
- Auditions appointments will be scheduled by May 4

| AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: |
| |
- Strings: - Solo work of choice, any 3 scales (2 major, 1 minor) and sight-reading
- Woodwind/brass - 1 octave chromatic scale plus all string requirements
- Percussion - basic rudiments; snare drum solo
- Video auditions: solo work of choice, any scales (2 major, 1 minor)

| Bass, Viola, Oboe & Bassoon Switching Program: |
| |
Introductory study for current string students and pianists is available on string bass or viola. Students with training on flute, clarinet or saxophone may elect study on oboe or bassoon. |
